Law360 Highlights Robbins Geller Class Certification Victory for Johnson & Johnson Investors
The Honorable Zahid N. Quraishi certified a class of Johnson & Johnson investors on Friday, December 29, and named Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP as class counsel.
The class action alleges Johnson & Johnson created an artificially inflated stock price by failing to disclose known cancer risks associated with its popular Baby Powder and other talc-based products, actively concealing damning internal documents and information and conducting a years-long scheme to influence and manipulate regulators and scientists. According to the article, Johnson & Johnson’s stock prices allegedly cratered when news outlets published articles exposing the company’s knowledge of the presence of asbestos.
The case is pending in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
