ISS SCAS Top 100 U.S. Class Action Settlements of All-Time: Robbins Geller Secures Three of Four New Entries in the Top 100 as Sole Lead Counsel

Earlier this month, Institutional Shareholder Services Securities Class Action Services issued its annual report listing the Top 100 U.S. Class Action Settlements of All-Time. In 2024, ISS SCAS added just four cases to the “Top 100,” and Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP was sole lead counsel in three of the four new entries into the Top 100.

• Apple – $490 million: We served as sole lead counsel in investors’ case against Apple, securing the largest U.S. securities class action settlement of 2024.
• Under Armour – $434 million: We served as sole lead counsel in this matter, which was resolved just weeks before the jury trial was set to commence in federal court.
• Alphabet – $350 million: We served as sole lead counsel in this case that arose from Alphabet’s alleged concealment of cybersecurity weaknesses in a key social media product. It is the largest-ever cybersecurity-related U.S. securities class action recovery.

A securities class action case against Uber Technologies also joined the SCAS Top 100 in 2024. Our Firm served as co-lead counsel in the state class action against Uber, which resolved together with the federal securities class action, for a total recovery of $200 million for investors.

According to data in the report, Robbins Geller served as lead or co-lead counsel in 5 of the 20 largest securities fraud recoveries of all time, and our Firm holds the distinction of being the only firm with multiple $1 billion-plus recoveries as sole lead counsel in the SCAS Top 100: Enron ($7.2 billion); Household International ($1.575 billion); Valeant Pharmaceuticals International ($1.21 billion); and American Realty Capital Properties ($1.025 billion).
