Robbins Geller Ranked Top Securities Law Firm for the Third Year in a Row by Institutional Shareholder Services

Today, Institutional Shareholder Services SCAS released its annual SCAS “Top 50” report, an analysis of securities class action litigation firms and their results in the previous year. The report ranks plaintiffs’ firms both by dollar value of final recoveries in which the law firm served as lead counsel and the number of settlements achieved in the year.

For the third year in a row Robbins Geller topped both sets of rankings. The Firm recovered over $1.75 billion for investors in 2022. The Firm also topped both rankings in 2021 and 2020.

The report notes that the Firm secured a $809.5 million settlement in a securities fraud class action case against Twitter – the top securities fraud recovery in 2022. The Twitter settlement is the 19th largest settlement of all-time and second largest in the Northern District of California, according to the ISS SCAS Top 100 U.S. Class Action Settlements of All-Time report released in January 2023.

The Twitter case was resolved on the eve of trial and involved nearly six years of litigation.

Several of the largest recoveries cited by recent ISS SCAS “Top 100” reports were secured at the eve of or after a trial, including Household ($1.5 billion in 2016), First Solar ($350 million in 2020), and American Realty ($1 billion in 2020).
