The National Law Journal Names Robbins Geller to its 2016 Elite Trial Lawyers List

For the third consecutive year, The National Law Journal has recognized Robbins Geller on its list of America’s Elite Trial Lawyers. The Firm was honored as a finalist in the securities litigation category “after thorough research, analysis and nomination vetting by editors and reporters at VerdictSearch, Law.com and The National Law Journal.” In addition, the list recognized law firms that have “achieved high-dollar recoveries for clients and that did some of the most creative and significant work on the plaintiffs side” between July 1, 2015 and July 1, 2016.  To qualify for inclusion, “firms had to have scored at least one significant plaintiffs win during the time period and possess an impressive track record of wins within the past three to five years.” To be considered as a significant win, the firm must have prevailed in a bench or jury trial, or in a major settlement where the stakes were high. In the first six months of 2016, Robbins Geller recovered more than $2 billion for investors around the world. Some of these notable recoveries include Household International ($1.575 billion – the largest securities class action following a trial – subject to court approval), Goldman Sachs ($272 million), J.P. Morgan ($388 million) and HCA Holdings ($215 million recovery), to name a few. Additionally, ISS ranked Robbins Geller first in both total amount recovered for investors and number of securities class action recoveries in its SCAS Top 50 Report for the last two years.
