Overview
Megan Sonney is Of Counsel to Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP and is based in the San Diego office, where her practice focuses on securities fraud litigation.
Most recently, Megan was a member of the litigation team that obtained a $434 million settlement in In re Under Armour Sec. Litig. The case settled just prior to the commencement of trial in Baltimore, Maryland, and represents the second largest securities fraud settlement ever in the Fourth Circuit and is among the top 50 largest such recoveries in U.S. history.
Megan graduated cum laude from Point Loma Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. While in law school Megan worked as a judicial extern to the Honorable, Yvonne E. Campos, San Diego Superior Court Juvenile Court Division, and also as a judicial extern to the Honorable Laura S. Taylor, United States Bankruptcy Court.
