Overview

Evelyn Sanchez Gonzalez is an associate in Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd’s San Diego office, where her practice focuses on representing institutional investors across the nation in complex securities fraud class actions.

Before law school, Evelyn worked as a paralegal in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. In that role, she investigated multibillion-dollar merger transactions and helped secure the largest negotiated merger divestiture in U.S. history, valued at approximately $9 billion. She also served as outreach chair of the Division’s Diversity Committee and as a discussion facilitator in the DOJ-wide Diversity and Inclusion Dialogue Program.

In law school, Evelyn served as editor-in-chief of the Chicanx-Latinx Law Review, the nation’s premier law journal dedicated to uplifting Latinx communities. In that capacity, she oversaw the publication of three different volumes, and coordinated with national and local leaders in law and policy to organize the inaugural Latina Futures: Transforming the Nation Through Law & Policy symposium. Under her leadership, the Chicanx-Latinx Law Review was recognized by UCLA Law as the Student Organization of the Year, and Evelyn was honored with a student leadership award from the school’s Office of Student Affairs.

In addition to her role as editor-in-chief, Evelyn served on the boards of the UCLA Law Review and the Latinx Law Students Association and was active in the Tribal Legal Development Clinic, UCLA Law’s El Centro Clinics, and the UCLA Law Fellows Program. During her first-year summer, Evelyn also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Fernando M. Olguin of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

Evelyn earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law. Evelyn was a summer associate at Robbins Geller in 2023 and returned to the Firm as an associate in 2024.
