Overview
Elizabeth Shonson is a partner in Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP’s Boca Raton office. She concentrates her practice on representing investors in class actions brought pursuant to the federal securities laws. Elizabeth has litigated numerous securities fraud class actions nationwide, helping achieve significant recoveries for aggrieved investors. She was a member of the litigation teams responsible for recouping millions of dollars for defrauded investors, including: In re Massey Energy Co. Sec. Litig. (S.D. W.Va.) ($265 million); Nieman v. Duke Energy Corp. (W.D.N.C.) ($146.25 million recovery); In re ADT Inc. S’holder Litig. (Fla. Cir. Ct., 15th Jud. Cir.) ($30 million settlement); Eshe Fund v. Fifth Third Bancorp (S.D. Ohio) ($16 million); City of St. Clair Shores Gen. Emps.’ Ret. Sys. v. Lender Processing Servs., Inc. (M.D. Fla.) ($14 million); and In re Synovus Fin. Corp. (N.D. Ga.) ($11.75 million).
Elizabeth has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine for the past four consecutive years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with Honors from Syracuse University, where she graduated summa cum laude. While at Syracuse, she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Elizabeth earned her Juris Doctor degree and graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Technology Law & Policy, a teaching assistant for legal research and writing and appellate advocacy, as well as a member of Phi Delta Phi. Elizabeth also received Honors in her legal research and writing, appellate advocacy and trial practice courses.
